FASCINATING READ!

Did Ted Bundy commit murders that were never attributed to him? This book uses strong detail with even stronger evidence to make that exact case. It's obvious from the first paragraph that these guys have done their homework. This book is a must for the serious crime reader. You'll be hard pressed to put this down once you start reading it, so be prepared!

Was Bundy an even more prolific killer than initially thought?

Great Job Tim - loved the book

I purchased this a while back as I heard and about it from Tim himself on the Bob and Tom radio show. Of course I had to run out to book store only to find out they did not have so ordered from Amazon and arrived within a couple days. And to my most appreciative surprise, Tim signed it. Thanks so much to all and Tim - the book was GREAT. You and Roger did a fantastic job and I would recommend to anyone who knew about this true story of crazy Ted Bundy. I remember it all well and reading about what you gents found.., wow ole Ted was indeed a monster.

About the Author
Professor Morton Glantz serves as a financial consultant, educator, and adviser to a broad spectrum of professionals, including corporate financial executives, government ministers, privatization managers, investment and commercial bankers, public accounting firms, members of merger and acquisition teams, strategic planning executives, management consultants, attorneys, and representatives of foreign governments and international banks. Professor Morton Glantz is a principal of Real Consulting and Real Options Valuation, firms specializing in risk consulting, training, certification, and advanced analytical software in the areas of risk quantification, analysis, and management solutions.

As a JP Morgan Chase (heritage bank) senior banker, Professor Glantz built a progressive career path specializing in credit analysis and credit risk management, risk grading systems, valuation models, and professional training. He was instrumental in the reorganization and development of the credit analysis module of the Bank’s Management Training Program-Finance, which at the time was recognized as one of the foremost training programs in the banking industry.

Professor Glantz is on the (adjunct) finance faculty of the Fordham Graduate School of Business. He has appeared in the Harvard University International Directory of Business and Management Scholars and Research, and has earned Fordham University Deans Award for Faculty Excellence on three occasions. Managing Bank Risk, An Introduction to Broad-Base Credit Engineering, takes on a Herculean task of capturing an extraordinarily extensive array of risk management subjects. Having spent several years in my prior career as a Corporate Banker to Fortune 500 Companies, I was familiar with some of the material within the book. However, I found that the most critical tools that I accumulated and have come to rely on have by and large been aggregated and explained clearly through both quantitative and qualitative approaches. Going beyond definitions and methodology, Managing Bank Risk lends focused perspective and context through the use of case studies. Having built various articulating sensitivity models over the course of my career, I appreciated the book's foundation of credit metrics, financial statement analysis with focus on cash flow analysis, proper asset-based lending approaches and detailed explanations of several forecasting techniques. From a pure banking perspective, Mr. Glantz commits significant time to portfolio management, hedging techniques, and understanding derivatives. Having seen only a small fraction of the statistical forecasting tools from business school that Mr. Glantz covers in the book, I found both the theory and practical software-based tools fascinating. Managing Bank Risk also evaluates and lucidly explains many corporate finance concepts and valuation tools such as Real Options and Pricing Models, which I have found important to have a controlling knowledge of in my career as an Investment Banker. Finally, but certainly not in summation, Managing Bank Risk reviews and identifies important Accounting and Corporate Structure insights and lessons that can be taken from recent corporate scandals. Given the sheer volume and quality of topics covered from the most fundamental to some of the most sophisticated, cutting-edge models available today, I would suggest this well-written and comprehensive book as a must-read for business school students or as a reference guide for finance professionals.

Glantz provides an astonishing and comprehensive overview of current banking practices. The book provides the necessary approaches for managing risk and uncovering discrepancies in today's environment of corporate shenanigans. The chapters on credit derivatives and pricing models are the most impressive of all writings on these subjects and are presented in a very clear and concise manner. Finally, the resources and risk rating system included on the CD is worth the price of the book alone.

This book explains Sanskrit grammar. The first of a set of 4 volumes, it illustrates the rudiments of the use and application of the sutras of Panini's Ashtadyayi to the present-day student. The author has laid out the application of the sutras in simple English with examples that are easily understood. This first volume explains the following - The Sanskrit alphabet – Pratyaahaar sutras; guna and vriddhi; General tense affixes , the Present Tense ; conjugations of the roots of the Bhvadi, Divadi and Tudadi classes; General Case affixes; declensions of the masculine and neuter Pratipadik bases ; rules of Sandhi; relation of words in a sentence. The next three volumes will go into greater details as listed in the present book on the last page.

About the Author
The late Prof. Prasannakumar B. Junnarkar was born in a family devoted to classical learning. Prasannakumar’s formal university education was in Mathematics, in which he took his Master’s degree from Elphinstone College, Bombay. He also obtained a degree in Law. In 1922 he joined the Dacca University, where he served till his retirement in 1948 as the Head of the Department of Commerce and later as the Dean of the Faculty of Commerce.Though he had been a student of mathematics and law and was for many years a teacher of commerce, Prof. Junnarkar’s first love was always Sanskrit. He began the work of simplifying Paninian grammar while still at the Dacca University, but the bulk of the work was the product of 14 years’ unaided labour continued despite ill health – in his quiet retirement at Navsari in Gujarat. He died at Baroda in 1975 at the age of 82.

difficult font for sanskrit text

It is so unfortunate that the publishers of this series chose the bizarre and ornamental "aparajita" font (available on MS Windows) to represent the devanagari text. It is readable only with difficulty. Had the publishers made a very slight effort to pick a more readable font for the Sanskrit text, such as the Mangal font (also readily available on MS Windows), this would have enhanced the usefulness of this insightful and potentially valuable four-volume set. This work makes enjoyable reading to anyone familiar with आष्टाध्यायी and सिद्धान्त कौमुदी.
For anyone out there that finds "aparajita" easy to read, my apologies and क्षमस्वमेतद्.

Thomas M. Skovholt, PhD, LP, ABPP, is professor at the University of Minnesota, a psychologist in part-time private practice, and author or coauthor of 13 books. He has received awards for writing, teaching and professional practice and has taught and given workshops around the world.

Michelle Trotter-Mathison, PhD, LP, is a psychologist and the assistant director of the mental health clinic at the University of Minnesota's Boynton Health Service.�She also maintains a private practice in St. Paul, Minnesota, and is coeditor of Voices from the Field: Defining Moments in Counselor and Therapist Development.
