Just listened to Ian's synopsis of what this book is about and it makes a LOT of sense. I cannot believe someone would give this author and book a negative review. He is trying to help and do his small part to wake up the majority of people that are just sitting around doing nothing.

"This is 1984, 2014 style"

Everyone loves to hear those words "Gosh, you were right". I know I do. Except this once. This time my "paranoia" hasn't gone far enough. Not nearly far enough. I'm only at the start of chapter 4, and I am astonished at the depth of the invasion of our lives by the state/corporations (which is the same thing really). This is an absolute must read book for everyone on the planet, the only challenge being that by the time the book was written and published it was already out of date, such is the pace of technological progress. Still, it gives an extremely valuable insight into what's really going on, and into just how trapped we-the-people really are. It's far scarier than any Steven King book.

Time to get smart people, and count the cost of our convenience.

Having now finished this book, it goes so much deeper than just your fridge being used to spy on you (which it is, by the way). It covers so much more. It goes almost to the very heart of the matter (Hiding in Plain Sight by Ken Bowers goes the rest of the way, and more) and gives an excellent, well documented, description of what's really going on in the world at some of the most senior levels. The conspiracy "theory" is in reality a very well documented fact.

You might well be surprised to learn what several prominent religions are really up to, or what the not so innocent and benevolent United Nations has in store for you and your family via some very questionable international treaties being enforced by your local government. Like Article 2.2 of the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child (UNCROC). Like rat poison coated in sugary goodness the UN is one serious global problem.

My paranoia wasn't nearly bad enough.

Good jumping off point

This is essentially a "how to run a small business for dummies" kind of book. It doesn't just cover the book keeping, it also touches on the logistical and overhead type items like ordering supplies and other costs of doing business. I took a few accounting classes in college (it was briefly my major before I decided to go in a different direction), and this book is pretty much the layman's version of what we learned. Anyone can read and follow along. I did however find it interesting that there was no mention of a software program to help you (unless I missed it). The book shows it was copyrighted in 2015, yet the way everything is described in the book makes me feel like the reader is responsible for keeping all of these tables and statements by hand. There are programs that can do all of this for you. Overall its a good jumping off point for understanding how the finances of your business should work.

Having a business without having a knowledge or how to handle accounts is like killing a business before it flourished .
I dont think every business owner being an accountant might help either Having a knowledge is very important and beneficial. There are certain steps that have to be taken to establish business and this book is extremely handy in explaining how to handle finances.It is very well written book and explains from setting up a business to keeping a track of money coming and going.I really like it and I highly recommend it .

To become a successful small business owner, you first need to properly know how to manage your finances. Like managing your personal finances; your business finances can be tricky especially if you don't know what you're doing, however; with this book you will learn easy tricks on how to do so.

In the Accounting for Small Business owners, you will learn about types of accounts, business structures and how to manage them. You can learn how to become a successful business owner by following the guidelines in this book. You will discover how to set up and run your business, manage products and sell them and perform month end balancing of the books.

Personally for me, this book is overwhelming and all I see is numbers. Math is NOT my thing and I while I do not run a physical business I do try to stay on top of things and know my expenses and fees. However; it's taught me I need to become more in control over my business finances.

Overall, if you're struggling with your business finances and can't afford someone to assist you this ia great book to get started in learning. There's lots of helpful examples of each chart type so you can see how it works and how manage it.

It's easy to get caught up in the story and I'm waiting with bated breath for book 3 of The Wild Hunt. Requiring a lot of concentration to remember events, as the story shifts between different people and perspectives, this can be read as a standalone. I bet you'll be hooked and need the next in the series though, especially after the cliff hanger ending.

Borrowed too blatantly from the Wheel of Time

Readers should know that parts of this book are written in parallel with the first book of the series (the same events told from another character's perspective).

I also found it distracting how much of this book was borrowed from Robert Jordan's Wheel of Time series. Cooper made many changes in the elements she borrowed, but the specific details she kept were enough to jar me out of the story while I was reading it. For instance, she brought the Aiel into the story, complete with their history and a Wise One in each band. She sometimes also uses the same imagery as Jordan to describe use of the power. This isn't a problem if you haven't read the Wheel of Time, and I think Cooper does a good job of borrowing while making significant changes and making these elements her own.

On a final note, Elspeth Cooper uses a predilection for rough sex as a trait to vilify the bad guys. Way to perpetuate sex negativity.

Not a bad book two, but not an exceptional one

Elspeth Cooper in is book two of her series, The Wild Hunt, and “Trinity Rising” (Tor, $25.99, 488 pages), and not surprisingly, there’s no synopsis, and even worse, no map. Cooper constantly refers to geography, and her characters are wildly scattered on a pre-industrial world with magic, but the effort to sort out who is where and how close they are to someone else is not only frustrating, but unnecessary.

And Cooper is a relative newcomer to the writing biz, so she doesn’t quite have the finesse of other veterans, especially when it comes to villains. (A quality villain is the key to any good-vs.-evil tale, as “Trinity Rising” is, and making the villain more than just a cardboard cutout who tears the wings off of flies just for the fun of it is a lot harder than creating a sympathetic and believable hero.)

Still, The Wild Hunt is a promising series, and with two more books to go, Cooper should become more and more assured – and maybe even will include a map.

Easy to Understand

This book was required reading for a college class I am currently taking..It is easy to understand and goes thru a variety of problems and illnesses for all groups of people..There are very few clinical books on Men and how they perceive themselves so I found that information very useful..Would recommend if you have a friend or loved one with a body image disorder but know that it focuses on more than just eating disorders..
